Ms. Barber was born in Lawton, Oklahoma. She graduated from the
University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Interdisciplinary Social Sciences in 2003. She then attended Stetson
University College of Law, obtaining her Juris Doctor degree in May,
2008. While at Stetson, Ms. Barber was a member of the Canakaris Inn of
Court and served as a Guardian ad Litem in the 12th Judicial Circuit of
Florida.
Ms. Barber was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2008 and is a member of
the Sarasota Bar Association and American Bar Association.
Prior to becoming licensed to practice law, Ms. Barber had extensive
experience in the Sarasota area as a paralegal, including seven years
with the Sarasota City Attorney's Office.

Mr. Carter was born in Lakewood, Ohio. He attended Texas Christian University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 1982.
Mr. Carter then attended Southern Methodist University School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 1985. Mr. Carter practiced in Ft. Worth, Texas from 1985 until 1992, when he joined the Sarasota County Attorney's Office as an Assistant County Attorney from 1992 through 2000.
Mr. Carter is a member of the Florida Bar (Trial Lawyers Section), the State Bar of Texas, Sarasota County Bar Association, Defense Research Institute and Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court.
Mr. Carter is licensed to practice law in all state courts within the State of Florida and within the State of Texas, and is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Dunlap was born in Gainesville, Florida. He graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree (Business Administration) in 1981. While at UNC, Mr. Dunlap was a member of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society.
Mr. Dunlap then attended the University of Florida College of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 1984. While at the University of Florida College of Law, he was a member of the University of Florida Law Review, 1983 - 1984 and authored "Interstate Banking Developments in Florida: Pushing Through Legal Barriers and Toward a Level Playing Field," 9 Nova Law Journal 1, 1984.
Mr. Dunlap was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1985, and he is a Florida Bar Board Certified Real Estate Lawyer. Mr. Dunlap is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association. He is a past Director of the Sarasota County Bar Association and a past Director of the Home Builders' Association of Sarasota County.
Mr. Dunlap is also a past Director of Children First and a past Director of Sara Bay Country Club.

Mr. Featherstone was born in Sarasota, Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida in 2001 with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Finance.
Mr. Featherstone then attended the Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California, completing his last semester of law school at Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida, as a visiting student. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 2005.
Mr. Featherstone was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005. He is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association and the American Bar Association, as well as the Young Lawyer's Division of the Sarasota County Bar, and the Young Professionals Group of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Friedland was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He attended Southern Connecticut State University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 1972.
Mr. Friedland then attended the University of Connecticut School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 1975. Mr. Friedland practiced in Connecticut from 1975 through 1988 when he relocated his practice to Sarasota, Florida.
Mr. Friedland is licensed to practice law in all state courts within the State of Florida and within the State of Connecticut, and is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, and District of Connecticut. He is a member of the Family Law Sections and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the Florida Bar, Sarasota County Bar Association, and American Bar Association. He is a Master in the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court.
Mr. Friedland has served on the boards of several non profit associations and has been an active Rotarian for over 30 years.

Mr. King was born in Lansing, Michigan on October 4, 1961. He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting in 1982. He then attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 1985. While attending law school, Mr. King was an Editor of the Cooley Law Review. Following law school, Mr. King worked in the tax department of Coopers & Lybrand, Certified Public Accountants, from 1985 to 1987. Mr. King then attended the University of Florida College of Law, where he obtained his Master of Laws in Taxation in 1988. Mr. King was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1986, (no longer admitted in Michigan), The Florida Bar in 1988, and the Illinois Bar in 1988 (inactive member).
He is a Board Certified Real Estate Lawyer, Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Michigan, inactive status). Mr. King taught federal taxation at the University of South Florida, College of Business as an adjunct professor in 1990 and 1995. He is a member of the Florida Bar. He has previously served as a board member of the Community Health Purchasing Alliance District 8, the Sarasota County Arts Council, and First Step. |
